Bob Tyler USMC, I was stationed at CAC-7, north of Cac 6&9, I helped build Cac 6&9. Before moving to 6&9, I was living in a tent at the hospital on Road 546 or 542. Note from Rod: Platoon
commanders included Sgt. Novthokoff [sp] who did 3 [yes 3 tours in country, made
it through Tet of '68 and I cannot find him in the roster!]. Succeeding
Novokoff [about March 1971 or so] was Cpl. [then Sgt] "Ditch" Anderson.
Our first AOR [I think] was Hoi An off of Route 1. Then, we moved to a
newly redeveloped village off of Route 4 near 2/9's old battalion HQ.
Names
in this unit that [I think] I remember include Keeney, Robertson, Orsini,
Butterfield, King, Wroblesky, "Dink" Kimbrough, Cox, "Turkey Shit" John,
Hutchinson, Doc "OK SDS", Holland, Rivera and others
